California's Self-Generation Incentive Program

The California Public Utilities Commission is providing incentives for distributed energy resources!

The CPUC's Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) provides rebates for installing distributed energy storage systems at both residential and non-residential facilities. Qualifying technologies include advance energy storage systems like Wise Power's patented Intelligent Energy Storage system, capable of functioning in all conditions.

Battery storage systems can provide power for several hours, which is an essential component of a solid emergency preparedness plan in the event of a power outage.

The CPUC has authorized more than $1 billion in funding through 2024 for SGIP. Funding is prioritized to communities in high fire-threat areas, communities that have experienced two or more utility Public Safety Power Shut-off (PSPS) events, as well as low income and medically vulnerable customers. Additionally, funding is also available for facilities that support community resilience in the event of a PSPS or wildfire.

The best way to get started in accessing SGIP is to reach out to the Save & Restore team so we may help you navigate the application process. Click here to speak to a team member today!
